Since 2018, Simon has been part of LARSSON. Today, he works as a Project Manager — a role he himself describes as both broad and the best one you can have.
With a Master of Science in Engineering in Applied Mechanics as his foundation, Simon leads projects primarily within drying plants. The role involves responsibility for everything from flow diagrams and technical specifications to dialogue with designers, procurement, production, follow-up with subcontractors, and close collaboration with customers’ project teams.
“The best part of the role is the variation. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to explore — and that’s exactly what I’m passionate about as an engineer.”
As a Project Manager, Simon interacts with the entire organization — from the workshop and procurement to customers around the world. An important part of the job is also being on-site with customers.
“It’s when you travel and meet customers and their facilities that you learn the most. You gain new perspectives, see how they think, and often find solutions together. It’s very rewarding.”
The international environment also creates great opportunities for development:
“We have many colleagues around the world who share experiences and knowledge with each other every day. You’re constantly building your toolbox.”
Simon describes LARSSON as a workplace with a strong level of trust in its employees.
“There is a lot of freedom with responsibility. No one micromanages — I plan my work myself. At the same time, it’s an open environment where you can be creative and take part in development, both of machines and processes. Both I and the organization develop every day.”
He also highlights the company culture:
“It’s a family-owned business with a long-term perspective. A technology-driven company that genuinely cares about its employees. We have great colleagues and enjoy working together — even when things are challenging.”
For Simon, learning is a central part of both the role and the industry.
“You are never fully learned. New trends, raw materials, and products are constantly emerging. My ambition is to keep developing and stay at the forefront of the industry.”
At LARSSON, you will work in an international environment where technology, innovation, and people are at the core. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to grow, make an impact, and be part of a team that drives the industry forward.
