Starch
Starch has been an important element for several years. The
extracting of starch is done in many different steps, were every

Extraction of starch differs from country to country dependent
upon individual agricultural supply. In Europe it is usally wheat
and potato, in Asia it is rice and cassava nuts (e.g. tapioca) and
corn in USA.
Starch is used within many areas, for example alcohol
production, paper, textile, glue and sweets (wine gum and
jelly).
Milestones in LarssonSweden history
1948 Gösta Larsson founded LarssonSweden
1950 the first LarssonSweden products were
delivered domestic.
1961 LarssonSweden receives its first export
contract to Denmark
1968 LarssonSweden became a joint stock
company. The first machines were
exported to the tapioca starch industry in Malaysia
1987 LarssonSweden got the contract for
Wendland Stärke in Germany, the first new potato starch factory
build in decades in Europe.
1988 Ter Apel Kanaal, the world´s largest
potato starch industry was rebulit in Holland. LarssonSweden was
the main component supplier.
1992 LarssonSweden delivered a whole
factory to the tapioca industry in the north
of Thailand, National Starch Kalasin.
2002 the whole company moved from Barum to
Bromölla.
2007 a Rep. Office is opened in Guangzhou,
China.
2009 a Rep. Office is opened in Minsk,
Belarus
2011 LarssonSweden get a contract for the
supply of a complete tapioca starch plant in South America, Codipsa
4 in Paraguay.
